WHAT PROGRAMS DO YOU OFFER?
​
We offer camps and clinics for most of the year. Our year-round camp/clinic learning opportunities are our 2nd-8th grade clinics for boys and girls (Encore Juniors). We offer a variety of 15U-18U camps in the summer and spring, and 11U-14U camps/clinics in the fall, summer and winter. Encore offers a variety of skill-specific summer camps and clinics and generally releases information to the public on our website and through email in late spring. We recently began a Fall League program, and will plan to host a Winter League season that consists of two practices per week, and 2-3 local tournaments in partnership with local clubs. Our indoor club team program for 11U-17U girls has seasonal tryouts every year and offers a range of competitive to beginner level teams.

HOW YOUNG CAN MY DAUGHTER BE TO PARTICIPATE?

Our youngest age group offered is for our 2nd-8th grade Encore Juniors program. Our youngest age group offered for club season is 11 and under and up through 18 and under.

WHEN ARE INDOOR TRYOUTS?
Our club tryouts for 14 and under team tryouts are generally in mid-October. For girls 15 and older, tryouts take place in late July.

HOW MANY INDOOR TEAMS DO YOU TAKE?
​
Encore typically fields two to four teams per age group with approximately 12-14 players on each team. Many age groups will offer 4 or more teams per age group.

HOW LONG IS THE INDOOR SEASON?
​
Girls indoor season runs from November through end of May for most 11U-16U teams, and from November through the end of mid-July for our 12U-18U teams that participate in Girl’s Junior National Championships.

WHAT IS THE COST OF THE INDOOR CLUB SEASON?
​
Encore’s cost is consistent and competitive with volleyball clubs in the Northern California region. Cost varies by age group and team. All cost information is readily available at tryouts. Club dues cover all tournaments, practices, uniforms, registration/membership fees, administrative costs, coaching expenses, and equipment costs. Families are separately responsible for any travel expenses and room and board.

HOW MUCH OF A TIME COMMITMENT IS THE CLUB SEASON?

Power Teams - Practice Commitment:
For our 11-17u Power teams, teams will generally practice 2-3x per week.
Power Teams - Tournament Commitment:
For our 11-17u Power teams, teams will play in tournaments 1-2 weekends per month. These teams will also go to National Qualifier tournaments (1-3 of these tournaments depending on the team, 3 days each). Select 12 and older teams end their season in late June/early July with a final 4-5 day travel National tournament.
Premier Teams
For our 11U-16U Premier Teams: During the competitive season, teams will practice 2x per week and will play in local tournaments in NCVA’s Premier League 1-2 weekends per month (1 day tournaments), These teams will end their season with a 2-3 day local tournament in late May.
All teams will participate in the NCVA League (ncva.com).

Yes, by committing to Encore for the club season you are committing to a postseason tournament event at the end of June/early July for most teams and age-levels (with exception of 11U teams, select older girls’ teams, and Premier teams).
DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE LESSONS?
​

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
​
Refunds: Required initial payments for registration are non-refundable. Full program fees are expected and will not be refunded for any reason after completing participation in 25% of the program schedule. If you leave the program voluntarily, the remainder of the program fees will be collected on the date we are notified of your departure. Particular circumstances, such as significant injury, that limit the continued participation in the program, will be considered for an exception on a case-by-case basis.

Encore Summer Camp Refund Policy:
No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations 2 weeks prior to the first date of camp. If you need to cancel your registration, Encore can issue a refund (minus a 25% administration fee) or camp credit that can be used for an alternative 2024 summer camp date. Credits cannot be used for club dues, or any camp/clinics after December 31st, 2024. There will be no make-up days or pro-rates for missed camp days.
Is there a medical exception?
Yes. If the medical situation is supported by a written and signed acknowledgement from a licensed medical practitioner, we will extend the refund or credit on your account, prorated from the date we receive the medical acknowledgment. If you choose a credit, you may apply towards future Encore camps in 2024.
If a camp is canceled due to circumstances beyond the camp's control (facility issues, pandemic, natural disasters, etc), 100% credit, valid until the end of 2024, will automatically be issued. In the event a program is canceled or rescheduled by Encore, a credit will be issued.

Force Majeure:
Encore Volleyball/LEMO, LLC shall be excused from the performance of its obligations for all services and programs rendered under this Agreement to the extent that such performance is prevented by force majeure (defined below) and Encore Volleyball/LEMO, LLC promptly provides notice of such prevention to their customers. Such excuse shall be continued so long as the condition constituting force majeure continues. Encore Volleyball/LEMO, LLC also shall notify customers of the anticipated duration of such force majeure, any actions being taken to avoid or minimize its effect after such occurrence, and shall make reasonable efforts to remove the condition constituting such force majeure. For purposes of this Agreement, force majeure shall include conditions beyond the control of Encore Volleyball/LEMO, LLC, including an act of God, acts of terrorism, voluntary or involuntary compliance with any regulation, law, or order of any government, war, acts of war (whether war be declared or not), labor strike or lock-out, civil commotion, epidemic, pandemic, failure or default of public utilities or common carriers, destruction of production facilities or materials by fire, earthquake, storm or like a catastrophe. Encore Volleyball/LEMO, LLC customers shall in no event delay the payment of invoices due and owing hereunder because of a force majeure affecting Encore Volleyball/LEMO, LLC or their customers.
Declined Credit Cards:
If your credit card is declined during a payment process, you will be notified within 3 days. You must provide an alternative payment method before your next scheduled payment, and both payments will be charged at that time. Failure to complete a scheduled payment will suspend your participation until remedied.

Failure to Comply:
If full payment is not received by the end of the policy of terms noted in this financial Agreement, legal action to recover the funds will be taken, including additional fees to offset the administrative costs incurred and late fees may occur. Additionally, failure to comply may affect future participation in any program at Encore Volleyball/LEMO, LLC.

TRAVEL

HOW DO I MAKE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS FOR OUR UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS?
​
Encore has dedicated staff to assist with team travel. For qualifiers and post-season events, contact denise@encorevolleyball.com for any travel-related questions. Parents/Families are responsible for making their own flight arrangements. Encore will reserve a block of rooms at tournaments that require a Stay & Play obligation, and families will receive a link to make their individual reservations at that hotel. Read on for answers to our most common travel-related questions.
Q: What time do I need to be at an out of state tournament, and what time can I leave?
A: Please plan to arrive on the day before play by 6pm and depart on the final day of play no earlier than 5pm.
Q: Can I check all my luggage on the plane?
A: Players' uniforms should be carried on the plane, not checked baggage.
Q: Can I pick my own hotel for travel tournaments?
A: Most all travel tournaments have housing company requirements and Encore will send you a link to book your team rooms. There are a few exceptions to not booking with the assigned hotel, but permission is needed.
Q: What is a “Stay and Play” hotel?
A: For all travel tournaments (outside of Bay Area), Encore players/families will reside at a “Stay and Play” hotel. This means that part of Encore’s participation agreement with the tournament requires teams/families to stay at the hotel assigned by the Housing Department for that tournament. This also ensures teams are all together for meals and can travel all together to and from the playing venue.
Q: If I have hotel points at one of the Stay and Play hotels reserved, can I use them to pay for my families’ room?
A: You will need to book/reserve your individual room with a credit card. Upon check in, you can provide the hotel with your membership number and points to be used towards the final payment.
Q: Can multiple players stay together in one room with a chaperone?
A: Each player should travel and stay with at least one parent/guardian in their own room. If for some reason a parent/guardian can’t travel with their player to the travel tournament, please let your coach and Encore’s leadership team know well in advance.
Q: What if I need to add additional nights either at the front end or back end of the Encore reserved check in and check out dates?
A: You will need to contact the housing department directly once the hotel information is released and request additional days be added to your reservation. Do not contact the hotel directly as they will not have your reservation info until right before the tournament begins.
Q: What if my player will not be attending a tournament and will not need a room?
A: Please email denise@encorevolleyball.com as soon as possible with a reason why. This affects your team’s roster and your coaches’ preparation and lineup plans.
Q: What if I need to book two rooms for my family?
A: Please email denise@encorevolleyball.com as soon as you know this will be needed. We can add an additional room to our block of reservations in advance if we know of your need.
Q: Can I reserve rooms for all of our relatives?
A: No, rooms are reserved for players only…if you would like an extra room please email a request to denise@encorevolleyball.com. We do our best to accommodate if rooms are available after players have booked.
Q: How are hotels selected?
A: Hotel selection is based on what Stay and Play hotels are closest to the playing venue and can accommodate all Encore teams/families.
